Dr. Brumberg and the SANLAB have received an ASHFoundation New Century Scholars Research Grant,”Evaluating Control of Commercial AAC Devices via Brain-Computer Interface by Individuals With Neuromotor Deficits,” to pursue a project that links a brain-computer interface to a commercial AAC device for use by current AAC users.

Jeremy Burnison was selected as a Graduate Research Consultant for SPLH 462: Speech Science Anatomy & Physiology. The GRCs are tasked with adding research exposure to undergraduate courses. Jeremy will be specifically adding a lab-based hands on research portion to SPLH 462 in which students learn to record biosignals related to respiration, airflow, speech acoustics and muscular activity of the face.
